Cruising In Hawaii

Cruising in Hawaii

You can cruise in Hawaii in three ways:

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America departs every Saturday from Honolulu. The roughly 2,400 passengers visit Maui, Big Island, and Kauai on a seven-day trip.
Out-of-state cruise ships make stops in Hawaii as they cross the Pacific.
You can fly into Honolulu to catch an out-of-state cruise ship, or start in Hawaii to go back to the mainland (rare, but possible).

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America

Pride of America is the only cruise ship that sails year-round in Hawaii, offering a unique itinerary that allows guests to explore four islands in seven days without any sea days.

Unique Itinerary: Pride of America sails from Honolulu and visits four Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai. This itinerary allows for extensive exploration of Hawaii’s diverse landscapes and cultures, with no days at sea, maximizing time spent on land.

Dining Options: Pride of America offers a wide range of dining experiences, including specialty restaurants like Jefferson’s Bistro (French cuisine), Cagney’s Steakhouse (steaks), and East Meets West (Asian-American fusion). There are also main dining rooms serving American-inspired dishes, ensuring a culinary experience that caters to diverse tastes.

Activities and Entertainment
Onboard, guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment options, including live shows, bars, lounges, and themed events. The ship’s “Freestyle Cruising” concept allows for a relaxed atmosphere where passengers can dress casually during the day and enjoy more formal dining in the evenings.

Obviously, you will want to book in advance, as you will need to secure flights to and from Honolulu Hawaii.

Just booking a room at a resort starts around $300 per night – we have stayed numerous times at the Maui Banyan in Kihei, one of the more reasonable, family friendly resorts – a quick search found many units right around $300 per night. Virtually every other resort would be more expensive

A recent search found a last minute deal at $1043 per person, thats 149 per day – but it leaves in two weeks! GET GOING!!!!
