Contemplating an Alaskan adventure? Join our summer voyage, from July 18 to July 24, 2026, to experience the very best of this remarkable region – in complete Crystal comfort. Here are five reasons to visit Alaska this summer.
1. View wildlife in abundance
Brace yourself for breathtaking encounters with playful sea otters, majestic humpback whales, and brown bears staking their claim near salmon-spawning streams.
2. Experience long, bright days
Alaska benefits from extended daylight during summer – more time to enjoy the great outdoors.
3. Get up close to glaciers
Glaciers are quite a sight to behold, particularly when warmer weather drives dramatic ice calving.
4. Explore untouched wilderness
Immerse yourself in the raw beauty of nature. Crystal adventures are led by experts who share local history, wildlife insights, and hidden spots off the beaten path.
5. Engage with local culture
From learning about Sitka’s Russian heritage to admiring traditional totem poles crafted by the Tlingit people at Ketchikan, uncover Alaska’s fascinating history and culture.
The sleepy town of Seward is the launchpad for this voyage, which travels southwards down the dramatic west coast of Alaska and Canada. Start with a bang at the awe-inspiring Hubbard Glacier, where colossal ice chunks calve into the sea, as we sail to historic Sitka, Alaska’s original capital. Next, we set a course for Icy Strait Point, a jump-off for some of the most exhilarating outdoor adventures in North America. Then it’s on to the historic town of Ketchikan before we enter Canadian waters, passing the pine-fringed islets of British Columbia and following the breathtaking Seymour Narrows down to Vancouver.
Crystal is proud to host the only Nobu restaurant at sea. A Japanese-Peruvian fusion menu created by the world-famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa is served in our elegant dining room and sushi bar.
If we get going (this is SOON, and so is FIFA World Cup in Vancouver) there are some great Fairmont Hotels, and others to extend your stay in Vancouver with
