Days 1-5
Sydney & surrounds
Must do experiences:
Sydney Harbour cruise
Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney Opera House – tour or performance
Ferry to Manly Beach
Walk from Bondi to Bronte beaches; surfing lesson
Day trip to the Blue Mountains
Wine tasting in the Hunter Valley

Days 5-8
Red Centre – Uluru, Alice Springs
Must do experiences:
Uluru sunrise and/or sunset
Uluru outback dining – eg. Sounds of Silence or Tali Wiru
Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) eg. Valley of the Winds walk
Kings Canyon rim walk
Historic Alice Springs

Days 9-14
Cairns & Great Barrier Reef region
Must do experiences:
Great Barrier Reef cruise
Daintree Rainforest
Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail
Beachside villages such as Palm Cove and Port Douglas

This is 14 days with flights in between the two main areas, and how about staying at one of the Luxury Lodges Of Australia, one off, one-of-a kind lodges around the country!

This is a luxury itinerary, but a backpacker with enough time could do the same route, staying at hostels, maybe taking the bus from spot to spot.
