Quark Expeditions to Offer New ‘Antarctica by Helicopter’ Itineraries for 2025

Quark Expeditions is launching a new itinerary in Antarctica that offers travelers a chance to soar over the White Continent in a helicopter.

Called “Antarctica by Helicopter: Icebergs, Mountains, and Remote Lands,” the voyage takes advantage of the twin-engine helicopters aboard the ship Ultramarine. Travelers can explore lesser-visited destinations like the Antarctic Sound, Erebus and Terror Gulf and the Weddell Sea.

The 12-day, all-inclusive cruise includes at least two flightseeing excursions and one helicopter landing. That’s in addition to land excursions, Zodiac rides and onboard lectures by marine biologists, glaciologists and other experts.

The line will offer two departures from Buenoes Aires: one on November 27, 2025, and the other on December 7, 2025. The cruise will also visit Deception Island, James Ross Island and Livingston Island.
