I just helped a client book the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica for $672/night. The listed price was $1,724.
No credit card points needed. Here’s exactly how we did it:
Hilton is running a 90% bonus on purchased points right now. That drops the cost to 0.56 cents per point. So instead of paying $1,724/night cash, we:
1. Created a free Hilton Honors account and head to the sale page cloud9club.net/hilton-sale
2. Bought 120,000 points during the sale for $672
3. Booked the award night at the brand new Waldorf Astoria in Costa Rica
4. Same room. Same dates. $1,052 saved in one transaction.
Now multiply that over 5 nights. Hilton gives every member the 5th night free on award stays. So 5 nights that would cost $8,620 in cash cost $2,688 in purchased points.
That’s $5,932 saved on a brand new luxury resort. Just by buying points during a sale and booking the award.

I wish that was mathing for Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki. The room I want is 109,000 points a night. Cash price for 4 nights is $1667 ($352/night). I would pay almost as much to buy points. Nice deal on Costa Rica!

Yeah it only really ever works on properties that are around or over $1k/night cash rate.
how can you see the 90% bonus? I’m signed in and went to that link and not seeing it. is it for new HHonors members only?
