Whistler Activities – What To Do In Whistler

If you are headed to Whistler, contact me in Greater Vancouver, BC area to arrange great hotel for you

All the major chains are represented in the exciting Whistler market – Hilton, Pan Pacific, Fairmont, Four Seasons, etc. There are two levels, the Whistler townsite, which is the base for Whistler Mountain chairlift/gondolas. The Blackcomb base is a short walk uphill, has the Blackcomb Mountain base, plus their own small village of great hotels, restaurants, stores, etc. Lastly, Whistler Creekside is a secondary access point for Whistler Mountain (picture a teepee with two legs, maybe a few miles apart) – a little quieter, and requiring a taxi ride to get to the main village of Whistler, but a solid option for less crowded, more natural surroundings.

There are some sensational restaurants in Whistler: Araxi is right smack dab in the centre of Whistler Village, great seafood, italian dining. Hy’s Steakhouse serves the very top Canadian steaks, with tableside service. Rimrock Cafe is close to Creekside area, and has a 70s throwback feel, with perfect food and service – not like a cafe at all! LOL. Bearfoot Bistro also has a middle of the road sounding name, but don’t miss sensational food (Duck confit done 3 ways, at a recent visit) tableside ice cream creation, and the Grey Goose Vodka ice room, where they supply you with the parkas to sample craft vodkas, chilled (both YOU and the vodka – LOL)

You would not believe the activities that are possible in the village of Whistler! From skiing to mountain biking down those same trails in summer, to heli skiing, ziplining, bungee jumps, summer bobsled runs, ATV tours, Olympic cross country skiing… it goes on and on!
